Cold Night Shelters Meeting – Wednesday, Nov. 12 @ 8:00 am

We hope you will consider joining Pastor Jason at a strategic planning meeting for Cold Night Shelters in Walton County. Russell Beaty, Walton County’s Dir. Of Emergency Management, as well as other church and community leaders will be working together to make a plan. If you are interested in joining, plan to meet Pastor Jason at Hope at 8:00am so you all can carpool together. His number is 850-520-0800 if you need to reach him.

Men’s & Women’s Bible Study – Wednesdays @ 6:15 pm

It is not too late to join our weekly study for men or women. The ladies are studying the book of James while the men are studying the book “Compelled: Living the Mission of God”. All are welcome to attend.

Chrismon Craft Day – Wednesday, Nov. 19 @ 10:00 am

Chrismons are monograms of Christ’s life that are used to decorate the Christmas tree. This year we are excited to have a big tree in the sanctuary, but that means we need more ornaments. Please come help us make some more. Experience not needed. We have several ladies that are going to teach us what to do.  We are thankful to Thrivent for the Action Team Grant that is helping to buy the supplies.

Giving Thanks Potluck – Sunday, Nov. 23 @ 11:45’ish

Join us for our monthly potluck as we give thanks for our many blessings. Bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish or dishes to share. Vicki would love to have help with set-up and clean-up.

Outreach Opportunities

Canned Goods for Thanksgiving Meals

Caring & Sharing will be helping over 300 families in the community to have a Thanksgiving meal this year. Hope is accepting donations of stuffing, corn, peas, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and cranberries this Sunday, Nov. 16. Please bring your donations to Hope.

Thrivent Crop Drop – Saturday, Nov. 22 @ 8:00 am

Thrivent’s 5th Annual Crop Drop is an opportunity to provide local food banks and churches with fresh vegetables for Thanksgiving. About 80,000 pounds of produce will need to be bagged, stacked, and loaded into trucks and trailers. It is a great opportunity to serve alongside others in the Destin area. If you are interested in learning more please contact Tara Hearn @ 850-420-7321.

Have a blessed week.
