Hope Lutheran Church is a Lutheran mission church founded in 1998. The mission statement was “Turning On The Light in South Walton”. Through the years, Hope has met throughout South Walton County from Seaside to St. Rita's Catholic Church Parish House, a fire station on Hwy 393, Grayton Beach, Gulf Place on Hwy 30A, and many points in-between.
1998 Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church started a Lutheran Mission in Santa Rosa Beach.
2003 First Easter Service on the Beach.
Beach service went weekly in the summer beginning in June.
Purchased 7.8 acres on Hwy 393.
2005 The Beach service went year round.
2009 Pastor Jason called as first full-time Pastor in August.
Emerald Coast Lutheran Church joins Hope.
2010 Hope serves at Relay for Life.
2012 Hope purcased its first home in August on US Hwy 98 West.
Laborers for Christ began the build-out of our current home.
2013 Hope moved into its new home.
Hope begins serving at Lighthouse Family Retreat.
Second Vacation Bible School held at Driftwood Estates Park.
2014 Sale of Hwy 393 property.
Expanded and enhanced the building.
Pastor Jason helps inititate South Walton Week of Blessings.
Missional neighborhood ministry and MOPS was started.
2015 Building dedication and culmination of Light of Hope Building campaign.
Easter Beach service with 2,100 in attendance.
First Vacation Bible School on campus.
